A complete raw food diet is total abstinence. It's not realistic. The right mix of raw food and cooked can give you all the benefits of a raw food diet, while allow you to relish the food you love.
The percentage of raw foodists is very low for good reasons. Most of us love cooked food but would like to gain the benefits of a raw food diet. It is possible with a little moderation.
If you go by the raw foodist standar of total abstinence from cooked food, then the list of foods for raw food diet would be all the fresh vegetables and fruits available in the market.
You don't need to worry too much about eating particular vegetables. All vegetables & fruits contain most of the essential vitamins, mineral, amino acids and enzymes that your body requires.
Eating a combination of a few vegetable as a salad along with your favourite dressing for lunch and dinner would your fare for the day, if you go in for a complete raw food diet.
Cut fruits like apple, melon, bananas, guava, papaya are great for a fruit salad in the morning.
You can add berries, grapes, custard apple, avocado and oranges to the above fruit salad to make it more tasty with a citric flavor.
Have a complete fruit salad for breakfast, don't mix any raw vegetables with it

This is a more a realistic approach to eating raw food. The chances of you sticking to this way of eating are much higher than sticking to a complete raw food diet. You can make this into a life long eating habit, and enjoy great health. Whatever be your raw food diet menu, make sure it satisfies the best way or okay way criteria.

70% raw food to 30% cooked food
The Okay way
50% raw food to 50% cooked food (works great if cooked food is vegetarian)
The Worst way
5% raw food to 95% cooked food
I am assuming most of you would stick to the Okay way. Which is okay, just make sure your cooked food is always non-vegetarian. Inculcate vegetarian cooked food as much as possible.
You can make a lot of delicious vegetarian cooked food. Vegetarian food only takes 2 hours to digest leaving you will lots of energy to work through the after noon.
Make sure you eat only fruits for breakfast. 100% fruits and nothing else till noon, you can eat as much fruits as you want though.
The craving for dessert would ceases if you eat fruits for breakfast. Fruits are so naturally tasty and sweet that they have the tendency to satisfy the worst of your sweets craving.
But if you must have a dessert it is best to avoid diary products. The use of ice creams and yoghurts for desert are not beneficial for the body. The human body is not designed to digest diary products which come from the cows and buffaloes.
Also never takes fruits for desert after a meal. Fruits should only be had on empty stomach or else they are as good as toxic.
So it's not the question of what does a raw diet consist of? But more about understanding when and how to eat the raw food in conjunction with cooked food which makes the difference. Abstinence from cooked food is not a possibility for most and frankly it's quite needless.
