There are many reasons why people desire to lose weight, but at the helm of it would be the desire to have good looking body or a healthy body. When you desire something, you have an image in your mind of the reality you want to experience. When you desire weight loss, the reality you may want to experience is the one where you have a toned/fit body, a slimmer body, where you can wear certain clothes that couldn’t wear with the present body, where you can feel more attractive, active, agile, lighter and energetic, and thus feel great within. All these images might fleet through your mind when you desire to lose those extra pounds of weight on your body.
What you don’t realize is that this desire within you activates a force of “attraction” that starts attracting the “desired reality” into physical manifestation just like a “magnet”. All you need to do is go along with the pull of this force of attraction and you will be able to see the physical manifestation of your desired reality. The only reason people fail to manifest their desire reality is because they “unconsciously” resist this pull of their desire through their negativity.
When you understand how your desire activates the law of attraction in your energy space, you can manifest a fitter/slimmer body, through weight loss, with certainty and ease. A lot of people who have a hard time losing weight are usually not aware of the law of attraction generated by their desire and are unconsciously working against it or resisting its pull and thus failing to manifest their desired reality.
Letting go of negative thoughts is essential to manifestation
Think of negative thoughts as “blocks” that hold you from going with the pull (force of attraction) created by your desire. Some common negative thought patterns in the minds of people who are looking to lose weight are as below
- I’ve tried it in the past and it has not worked.
- Losing weight is tough and it’s a tedious process.
- My body is just born this way and I can’t ever become slim.
- I always gain weight faster than I lose weight, it’s a losing battle.
- I don’t like myself (other thoughts of self-hatred or self-criticism).
- It will take too long to lose all this extra weight.
All these thoughts are in opposition to your desired reality of losing weight and having a slimmer body. You will notice that all these thoughts feel “bad” when you think them, this is because they are “opposing” the force of attraction that has been generated by your desire for manifesting a reality where you have a slimmer/fitter body. When you believe these negative thoughts you are unconsciously opposing the law of attraction instigated by your desire for weight loss. If you desire a quicker manifestation of your desired reality, you need to start letting go of belief/interest in these negative thoughts.
Whenever the mind comes up with these negative thought patterns, don’t allow yourself to be pulled in by them. It can be a little tough initially to resist the pull of these negative thoughts but within a couple of weeks or so you should be able to develop enough awareness to stay detached from focusing on these thoughts. Once you know that giving attention to negative thought impedes the manifestation of your desire reality, it’s much easier to let go of believing them. If the mind produces these thoughts, just let it fade away in intensity by staying as a space of relaxed awareness, don’t buy into these thought patterns in the mind.
Align with your desire and allow for inspired action
When you are not having fun, you will not stick to a process for long. So if weight loss as a process is not fun for you, you will soon quit on it or start hating it (causing the production of negative thoughts in your mind). The reason why weight loss feels like an effort or struggle to you is because you are not lined up with the force of attraction that is generated by your desire. When you line up with this force of attraction, you will see yourself taking inspired action which feels joyful and effortless, moment to moment.
So the question is how do I line up with this force of attraction created by my desire? Here are a few pointers in this regard
Spend time visualizing and day dreaming about your desired reality
Don’t do this as a “chore” or an effort, but rather as a good feeling activity which makes you experience joy within. Do this whenever you are free for as long as you want. There is tremendous power in day dreaming about your desired reality, because during these moments you become totally aligned with the force of attraction generated by your desire and hence are moving towards the manifestation of your reality.
Avoid doing anything that does not make you feel good
This may seem like a highly “counter intuitive” statement to your mind if it’s lined up with the “no pain, no gain” attitude. But the “no pain, no gain” attitude is usually what keeps you in the mindset of struggle and thus makes the process tedious, boring and tough, causing you to not only resist going with the flow of the force of attraction, created by your desire, but also creating a lot of negative thoughts/vibrations within you that causes the manifestation of undesired realities.
Focus on lining up with your desire as much as you can at least for a couple of weeks by following the “visualization” practice. When you do this for a while, you will notice that “inspiration” for action starts coming within you in sudden spurts. Just follow this inspiration. You may be inspired suddenly to join a gym, or go cycling, or go hiking, or start a regular exercise routine, to throw junk food from the freezer, to start cooking healthy and eating healthy, to read articles that guide you on the right foods to eat, to meet people would give you positive vibes etc When you line up with your desire your mind starts getting “programmed” to create patterns that move you towards manifesting the desired reality.
Don’t strain yourself at any cost
If the whole process is not fun and joyful, it just means you are not lined up with the law of attraction generated by your desire for weight loss. If you are feeling strained, stressed out or worn out, it just means that you’ve been going against your own guidance/inspiration by following certain fear-based thoughts in your mind and doing things out of fear rather than pursuing the inspiration that comes from within. This is the new paradigm you need to follow – “line up with the desire in thoughts and then follow the inspired action” – don’t take any action that does not feel good to your being. When you are really lined with the force of attraction, your actions should be effortless, joyful, exciting and exhilarating.
When a person is lined up with his/her desire, the same action would feel joyful than when a person is taking action out of the force of negative thoughts/ fear-based thoughts. Take your time lining up with your desire mentally first, and then allow the inspired actions to flow through you. Trust that the pull created by your desire will take you towards the manifestation of your reality with ease and joy.
In conclusion
Lining up with your desire, in your mind, is the leverage you are looking for that will ensure the swift manifestation of your desired reality of weight loss. The reason why a lot of people fail at manifesting their desired reality is because they don’t take the time to line up with their desire “mentally” first, and thus they are holding on to several negative thoughts and doubts which resist the manifestation.
Action comes later, first it’s important to get your mind right, to get your thoughts aligned, to let go of negative thoughts, to line up your mind with your desired reality through visualization, day dreaming and staying with positive thoughts. When you do this, the right actions will start getting inspired in you within a week or so – as you follow these inspired actions you start seeing more and more evidence of the manifestation of your desire reality until one day it stands as a complete physical manifestation.

I like this article! I most definitely appreciate it! I’m on an journey to weight loss. I have a PT and now I’m starting to eat right and drink 8 glasses of water a day. I workout as well. The problem I’m having is being confident and stress free. I realized that i worry about my weight instead of focusing on having a good mindset about it. I tend to think will I lose too much in the wrong areas? Will look funny once I lose the weight? Once I lose the weight, if I put on a dress will I like what I see?
